Chalk

Surprising how little the Arroyo gets tagged up. When I first went down there, I expected it to see angry graffiti everywhere. But what a pleasant surprise.

The other day, I found this on the wall down by the stables. A different kind of graffiti. A lovely chalk mural. It's nice to see some sunny and happy art for once! Wonder if it is there still?

Oh, the arroyo used to get terribly tagged! But more recently, it got cleaned up more and more frequently, until tags only lasted days. At some point, most of the taggers quit.

Actually rode by the artist while he was creating this landscape - it made my day.

Refreshing.

I like you included a lot of foreground for setting.

Well done.

I've yet to see an artist approach a wall with chalk so this is a first for me. It is refreshing. A new direction maybe? I'd welcome it. Love the ethereal aspect of it (and the subject matter).
