Playing Possum
Came across this little guy in broad daylight one day. All scared up against a wall. He was pretty beat up, maybe from a coyote or some other animal.
Yes they are kinda ugly and dirty and strange but I still felt super sad seeing him all confused and hurt as I drove by. Hope he made it to another day.

I love possums. They frequently call at my house (setting off my motion sensors for better viewing)and they are always welcome. I hope this guy made it another day too.
I've actually raised opossums before, and I can assure you that even though they can not be tamed, they are very friendly and super clean. Plus they never bit me, even though I would grab and hold them everyday. They get a bad rap, but they really are decent creatures.
Weird that I had this post on autopost for today because I saw a dead possum this morning on Griffin. Poor guy.
