Thomas St.

Take a country road to the fork in the road, hook a left and take the country road up and down the empty hills until you get out to the edge. Feels like you can touch Downtown and Dodger Stadium.

Check out this house. The first pic is from June, the second pic is from the other day. Not much change. The pieces of wood on the roof are in the exact same spot. Even the graffiti hasn’t changed which is incredible! On third glance, I noticed that the lower windows have been taken out and boarded up. Uh-oh, that means this poor house will be this way for awhile, in for the long haul of half finished.

Oh look, there is even an exact replica of it next door! Even has the same hip new unfinished look. But this one comes with the lower level windows. Lovely. Thanks again greedy developers!

I've always been fascinated by the outlaw bike clubs around the country. Even seen a couple of Mongols out walking one time and remember feeling like I was watching a couple grizzly bears in the city. Dangerous by fascinating.

Recently I read some books on the ATF infiltrating outlaw bike clubs. The agents going through hell "patching-in" which lasts a year or more, and seeing a ton of gnarly stuff go down. Even enduring all of that, they still wouldn't be so sure that they wanted to leave the club when the order came down to bust these guys. The hard outlaw badasses were more genuine and giving than any other person, even the people on their own police force. It was a serious head trip. But then they remembered how sketchy these big bearded tattooed dudes were...murders, attempted murders, numerous assaults, corruption, rackateering, drugs, heavy artillery and everything else.

Apparently, 4 more ATF agents infiltrated the Mongols over the last several years. And this is just after another ATF infiltrated, and patched in, around 2003. Either the ATF dudes are really good at undercover work or the Mongols are easy to fool.

So in the early AM dawn, there was a huge vast shakedown on the Mongols. Feds bustin' down doors and taking names. Sixty-one grizzlies rounded up, a lot of them high ranking members. From Florida to Ohio Oregon to Vegas to Los Angeles. Even a couple in Lincoln Heights!

Enjoy the weekend as it should be the usual high 70's and sunny. All you need to have fun is three friends, a case of Budweiser, and a couple hula hoops!

Seasonal Color

I am late on this but whatever, no one cares.

In January, the rad little truck was lime green:

A couple months back I saw that the rad little truck got some new paint! Pink for Summer. Like how the kept the little strip of hearts as it was.

Can't wait to see the Fall/Winter paintjob!

Montecito Heights Rap Party

Anyone go? Saw this sign down at the bottom of Montecito Drive over the weekend. Was it A Tribe Called Quest? Cypress Hill? Beastie Boys? Wu-Tang? Maybe Too Short?

Guess I shoulda waited my 15 minutes and hopped on the shuttle.
